Wipro Appoints Frederic Abecassis as BFSI Industry Sector Leader for Southeast Asia

SINGAPORE | HONG KONG | BANGALORE, INDIA – 08 November 2022: Wipro Limited (NYSE: WIT, BSE: 507685, NSE: WIPRO), a leading technology consulting and services company, announced the appointment of Frédéric Abecassis as Head of Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) for Southeast Asia.

In an increasingly hyper-connected world, changing consumer behavior is driving rapid digital transformation in the Southeast Asian BFSI sector. Frédéric will spearhead the growth of Wipro’s BFSI business in this region, including Hong Kong. He will partner with clients and help them achieve their key business and digital transformation goals, while achieving their top line, bottom line and ESG (environment, social and governance) ambitions. Frederic will also help strengthen Wipro’s ecosystem of technology partners in the region.

A digital transformation pioneer and financial services (SF) expert, Frédéric brings over two decades of experience in strategy, business and technology consulting across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He has supported leading SF institutions to shape and execute major transformational programs from strategy to execution.

Prior to joining Wipro, Frédéric worked at Capgemini Invent, where he held various management positions, including Head of FS Strategic Transactions in France, Head of FS Middle East and Managing Director of Hong Kong and South East Asia. . He holds a Master’s degree in Management & Finance from EDHEC Business School in France. Frédéric is based in Hong Kong.
