FTC’s Nvidia Challenge Calls Arm “De facto Industry Standard”

By Matthew Perlman (December 6, 2021, 9:59 p.m. EST) – The Federal Trade Commission complaint disputing the planned $ 40 billion purchase of Arm Ltd by Nvidia Corp. claims that this move would give one of the largest and most valuable IT companies in the world ownership of technology that is crucial to its rivals.

The FTC on Monday released a public version of the administrative complaint for its reconciliation case, which authorities said last week it would stifle the development of next-generation technology unless it is blocked.
