Leonardo: AW169’s presence in the energy sector is strengthened with the order of four helicopters by Bestfly of Angola

This contract marks the entry of the AW169 into the African market with the first purchase from a large local operator.

Orders and options for nearly 290 AW169 helicopters have been signed by more than 90 customers in more than 30 countries around the world to date for a wide range of applications, exceeding 90,000 flight hours.

The Leonardo AW169 mid-size twin-engine light helicopter further strengthens its global market presence and energy industry success with the sale of four aircraft to Bestfly of Angola. This contract marks the entry of the AW169 into the African market with the first purchase from a large local operator.

The introduction of the 4.6 / 4.8 ton AW169 is a significant boost for Bestfly’s flight operations in Angola. It will ensure the transport of passengers and equipment in the energy sector relying on the latest technologies and navigation / mission avionics, the latest certification and safety standards, exceptional performance, the highest cab in its class and a modern maintenance approach.
